California Whitewater Rafting near
Los Angeles
Whitewater rafting near Los Angeles is available on the Kaweah River for those with previous rafting experience. Trips are available from May thru July (sometimes longer, it depends on the snowmelt). Since rafting in Southern California is limited, many choose to travel to the Gold Country, Lake Tahoe area, or Mt. Shasta/Redding region for more rafting, camping, and wineries.

Rafting near Three Rivers:
The Kaweah River offers class 4+ excitements and is just over 3 hours north/east of Los Angeles. The 9 mile stretch of river can be run in 1 day, but 2 days are also available for a double run. The Kaweah is one of Americas steepest river and flows naturally from Sequoia National Park, trips are run May-July. The Kaweah is not a novice run, we suggest the American River in the Gold Country for beginner and intermediate rafting trips.
