Foresthill is about 25 mins east of Auburn. We pass through this town on the way to put-in for the Middle Fork American, but it requires us to back-track after the trip, so Auburn usually more convenient. We can arrange for group pick-up on occasions:

Bear River Park, Placer County Parks. Approx. 2.5 miles SW of Colfax, 14.5 miles NE of Auburn. On Bear River, 50 sites, water, no reservations, no showers. (530) 346-8891. Group camp available by reservation, no water. (530) 886-4901. Take Weimar Cross Roads exit off I-80, 11.5 miles NE of Auburn, cross over freeway, in 1 mile turn right on Placer Hills Rd. In 2 miles, turn left on Plum Tree.

Rivers Bend Resort, On the South Fork American, 20+ mins S. from Auburn on Hwy. 49. Group campsite for 50+ people, located on the river. Hot showers, flush toilets, volleyball, horseshoes and evening photo viewing of the days action. Sorry, no dogs allowed. Advance reservations required through Tributary Whitewater 800-672-3846. No charge for overnight trips.
