Meeting Location for Truckee River Rafting: Granite Chief store in Truckee (11368 Donner Pass Rd, Truckee, CA 96161).
Check in at counter inside store, left rear corner. There are no signs outside for Tributary.
Please park on left side towards rear of building, and not immediately in front of store.
Directions to Truckee River Rafting from South Lake Tahoe:
Take HWY 50 east towards Carson City for 15 miles, then turn left onto Hwy. 28 towards Incline Village. This takes you around the east side of Lake Tahoe.
We recommend NOT using Hwy 89 on the west shore via Tahoe City (unless you are staying at Camp Richardson or somewhere on the west shore), as it is subject to heavy delays most of the season.
Directions to Truckee River Rafting from Incline Village:
Take Hwy. 28 west. At Kings Beach turn right onto Hwy. 267 towards Truckee. Merge onto I80 West. See "From Reno" below.
Directions to Truckee River Rafting from Reno:
Take Interstate 80 West towards Sacramento. Take Exit 185, CA-89 S toward Lake Tahoe. Take a right onto round-a-bout and immediately turn right towards Donner Pass Road. Turn left at the stoplight onto Donner Pass Rd.
Directions to Truckee River Rafting from Sacramento:
Take Interstate 80 East towards Reno. Take Exit 185, CA-89 S toward Lake Tahoe/Squaw Valley/Tahoe City. Enter round-a-bout and take the third exit towards Donner Pass Road, under I80. Pass straight through the next round-a-bout. Turn left at the stoplight onto Donner Pass Rd.
Directions to Truckee River Rafting from Tahoe City:
Take Hwy 89 North towards Truckee for 13 miles. Pass straight through both round-a-bouts under I80. Turn left onto Donner Pass Rd.
Granite Chief is the third driveway on the right. Please park on left side towards rear of building, and not immediately in front of store. Check in at counter inside store, left rear corner.
