When arriving for a river trip: 
- For 1 day trips or 1/2 day Upper trips, we usually meet in the parking area as you board a Tributary bus or van for a shuttle to the put-in location. Please rendezvous next to a Tributary vehicle if one is parked in the area, or by the trail entrance and look out for a Tributary employee with a clip board wearing a Tributary T shirt. If you do not see someone or arrive early, make your way down the trail past the rest rooms to the last camp at the end of the trail.
- 1/2 day PM trips launch from the camp area, so proceed immediately to the launch area by taking the trail signposted to the camp sites and rest rooms, and staying on the trail past the restrooms to the end of the trail.
- For camping before a trip, you can arrive any time after 5:00 pm, but preferably during daylight hours. There is no check in point, just proceed down the trail to our camp which is past the bathrooms, and the last site on the trail down a few steps on the right. It is clearly marked "Tributary Camp". You can setup in any available location, but please be considerate in your use of the space. Also please be aware that in all camps on the South Fork American, there is a quiet time between 10 pm and 7:00 am. You are welcome to be around the camp fire after this time, however, noise must be minimal after 10:00 pm.
Tent Camping:
Private group camp area used by Tributary Whitewater Tours for meeting and all camping on the South Fork American. Advance reservations are required and must be made through our office. Overnight trip participants have priority on space available, but we can usually accommodate day rafters. Large on-river site for up to 50 guests and an overflow site is available for larger groups. Facilities include hot showers, flush toilets, volleyball, horseshoes and night-time photo viewing.
Free camping for 1-2 nights with 2 day rafting trips, and 1 nights free camping is often available with 1 day trips at no charge, otherwise rates are usually $14 per person per night. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
Accommodations:
For those that would like more luxery and comfort at Rivers Bend there are 2 new air conditioned rooms next to our meeting location.

$65 Sunday - Thursday
$75 Friday & Saturday
Additional guests are $10/person
Kids under 5 free
The "River Otter" room has one queen bed and the "Eagles Nest" has full sized bunk beds. Linens, towels, and coffee are included. Contact the Rivers Bend Store and Greeting Center at 530-626-5331.
Camping Equipment Rentals:
2-3 person or 4-5 person tents: $15 for 1-2 nights
Sleeping bag & pad set: $15 for both, for 1-2 nights
Pad only: $5 1-2 nights
